Alone Yet Not Alone
Imagine you intend to live alone in the jungle among people who know nothing of the God of the Bible.
You will be working hard to learn a language, decipher a mysterious culture, compile a dictionary, devise an alphabet, develop a literacy program, translate the Bible, develop Bible lessons and teach people to be disciples of Christ.
You will likely be living there about two decades. Where will you live? Where will your water come from? What will you do with your waste? Will you have a spouse? Children? Where will they be while you are out building relationships? Will the children be in school? Where will they study? Who will teach them? Will you eat? Where will you cook? Where will you get your food? How long will it take you to acquire enough food to eat? Will you be using a computer? Will you have a printer? Where will you get your electrical energy? Will you need to work at night when you can be alone? How will you see? A generator? Where will the fuel come from? By the gallon jug or by the barrel? How will you bring things to where you live?
Full time missionaries who are skilled workers can greatly multiply the efforts of tribal church planters.
